Itinerary
Duration : 4-6 Hours ( ~12KM )
At 9:00 AM, your adventure begins as our guide arrives to pick you up from your hotel in central Sapa or meets you at the iconic Sapa Church, a central landmark of the town. After a warm greeting, the guide will provide a comprehensive overview of the day's schedule and share essential details to ensure you’re well-prepared for the trek ahead.
We’ll commence our journey from Sapa, embarking on a narrow trail that meanders through verdant cornfields. The path will gradually ascend towards Dragon Jaw Peak, a majestic point that rises 1,900 meters above sea level. After approximately 1.5 hours of trekking, you will arrive at this breathtaking peak. From here, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic vistas of Sapa town and the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley, renowned for its stunning natural beauty.
Dragon Jaw Peak offers a harmonious blend with nature as you traverse the elevated trails. These trails wind through charming small forests and rolling hills, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. On clear days, the sight of Fansipan Peak, the highest mountain in Indochina, might come into view, standing tall against the horizon. If the weather is particularly favorable, you might even witness a magnificent sea of clouds enveloping the landscape, adding a mystical quality to your experience.
After taking in the awe-inspiring views and capturing some memorable photographs, we will resume our trek along a unique path that resembles a dinosaur's spine, leading us to Hang Da village. This village is nestled in the heart of the Black H’mong community, offering a glimpse into their traditional way of life. As we descend, you’ll have the chance to observe local wildlife, including buffaloes, cows, horses, and pigs... adding an authentic rural touch to your journey.
When arrive to Hang Da village presents a perfect opportunity to enjoy a leisurely lunch, featuring local dishes that highlight the region's culinary heritage. You will have about an hour to relax and savor these traditional meals, experiencing the flavors and aromas of Sapa’s distinctive cuisine.
After the lunch, our adventure continues as we head towards Hau Chu Ngai village. Here, we will embark on a serene trekking along a trail that winds through a cool and tranquil bamboo forest. The soothing sounds of chirping birds and the gentle flow of nearby streams create a peaceful atmosphere, offering a refreshing break from the modern world. The untouched beauty of the bamboo forest will make you feel completely immersed in nature.
Upon reaching Giang Ta Chai village, you’ll be introduced to the vibrant daily life of the Black Hmong and Zed Dao communities. This village provides a unique opportunity to witness local traditions and activities, marking the final highlight of our trekking program for the day.
As the day draws to a close, we will return to Sapa town or your hotel by car ( around 2:30-3:30PM ). This marks the end of a memorable and enriching day of exploration, filled with stunning landscapes, cultural encounters, and a deep connection with the natural world.
